3 Day Sossusvlei Shuttle Tour

This tour is an accommodated trip to Sossuvlei. This is one of Namibia’s most popular tourist destinations.

On this tour you will encounter a breath taking steep and beautiful pass, local settlements and a canyon, while en-route to the world’s tallest red sand dunes. A memorable part of this trip is walking on the clay pan, while surrounded by immense dunes, this desert is the oldest in the world. The spectacular star-shaped mounds and ridges are perfect for photography, and is complemented by the amazing desert wildlife and vegetation.

Day one of the tour begins at Windhoek, where you are collected from your lodgings and taken to the Namib Naukluft Park, through the Spreetshoogte Pass. A refreshment stop is made at the oasis town of Solitaire, famous for its apple pie, before heading to the Namib Desert Lodge. This lodge sits at the foot of a red sandstone cliff, which consists of fossilized dunes of the ancient Namib.

Day two has an essential early morning departure. This is an opportunity to climb some of the highest sand dunes in the world. The view from the Big Mama dune is worth the climb. Ancient camelthorn trees sit at the foot of the Big Mama sand dune, at the Dead Vlei, which is the Sossuvlei’s most photographed areas. Your tour continues to the Sesriem Canyon, after which you return to the Namib Desert Lodge.

Day three is the day you return to Windhoek, you will travel back via the Remshoogte Pass, another scenic and beautiful pass.

10 Day Namibian Highlights Tour

The 10 day Namibian highlights tour is an accommodated tour that takes you to the main attractions around the beautiful Namibia, including Mariental, Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Damaraland and Etosha South.

This is an exciting, value for money option. Its a 10 day tour that offers the best from Namibia’s many sights. This tour takes you through two of the great deserts in Africa, the Namib Desert and the Kalahari Desert. This tour takes you to the beautiful and quaint coastal village of Swakopmund, nestled between the desert and sea. You will visit Tywfelfontein to view the rock engravings and the Etosha National Park to view the wildlife.

3 Day Sossusvlei Safari

The 3 Day Sossusvlei Safari is a visit to the vast and unique Namib desert, with a stay in the National Park at Sesriem. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

On this tour you will visit the vast and beautiful Namib Desert, and camp at the Sesriem National Park. This tour takes you through the town of Rehoboth, with a stop to see the view from the top of the Spreetshoogte Pass, after descending the pass you enter the expansive and amazing Namib Desert. This area is quiet and sparsely populated.

Day one starts at Wild Cherry Adventures in Windhoek West, here you meet the safari guide to discuss the upcoming tour. Once everyone is ready at 9, the route takes you south through the town of Rehoboth, then south-west through the scenic Khomas Hochland highlands to the edge of the Great Escarpment. After passing the town of Solitaire to Sesirem, you will arrive at the campgrounds in the Namib Naukluft National Park. Here you can make yourself comfortable in your tent and relax around the camp and by the pool. You can view the sunset on the dunes and enjoy a tasty dinner back at camp.

Day two starts with an early morning before the sun rises, we offer coffee and light snacks, then set off for a wonderful excursion into the Namib Naukluft National Park, home to the Sossuvlei, Deadvlei, Dune 45 and the beautiful red sand dunes. This park conserves 50,000 sq km of pristine desert, one of the oldest on earth. The drive continues to the Tsauchab River Valley, when flowing it weaves its way along the floodplains to gather 60 km to the west at Sossuvlei.

The first stop is at the Dune 45, this beautiful dune sits 120 metres avoe the grassy plain. You can climb to the top for a wonderful view of the valley and dunes, then descend for a hot drink and breakfast back. Once you have explored to your hearts content you will return to the vehicle to continue to the Sesriem Canyon, and return to the campgrounds after.

Day three starts with a large delicious breakfast, after which we depart back to Windhoek, arriving back at Wild Cherry Adventures.

Etosha National Park Tour

This camping tour of the Etosha National Park is a wonderful trip through a wonderful spot of nature, filled with lions, elephants, leopards and rhinos. Experience your African dream with this one day tour!

Catch the daily early morning shuttle from Windhoek to Okaukeujo camp in the Etosha National Park. Upon arrival, you will meet your guide and be assigned to your tent, these tents are two person dome tents, with stretchers, mattresses and bedding. Once you have enjoyed some refreshments you can explore the beautiful surroundings, have some lunch or go for a swim. The last part of the afternoon is spent game viewing in the open safari vehicle, these traverse the watering holes and dry pan while you can photograph the wildlife and scenery.

The highlights of this tour are the open vehicle game drives, Etosha pan, Okakeujo watering hole, Big 5 game viewing, wildlife viewing, the semi-luxury camping and to end the day off, a traditional Namibian braai (barbecue).
