Day 1: Windhoek

Distance: 0 km (Starting Point)

Collect your 4x4 in Namibia’s capital, explore city highlights, and prepare for the rugged northern journey.

Day 2: Outjo

Distance: 320 km North

Drive north to Outjo, a relaxed town and gateway to Kaokoland.

2.Etosha

Day 3: Etosha National Park (Western Gate)

Distance: 120 km Northeast

Enter Etosha from the west for wildlife drives and waterhole encounters.

Distance: 150 km West

Day 5: Opuwo

Distance: 280 km Northwest

Day 6–7: Van Zyl’s Pass & Marienfluss Valley

Distance: 330 km North

Tackle Namibia’s most extreme 4x4 descent into Marienfluss Valley. Spend two days exploring vast desert plains, Himba settlements, and untouched wilderness.

Disclaimer: Self-drive tourists using rental vehicles require special permission from their rental agency to navigate Van Zyl's Pass.

(By common agreement, the pass is only driven in one direction: east to west.)
